Reviewing a Decade of HERE-Geneva
As HERE-Geneva marks its 10th anniversary, we are taking stock of our journey, our impact, and the path ahead. Over the past decade, HERE has built a reputation for its in-depth reviews on humanitarian coordination, principles, and accountability, contributing to critical discussions on closing the gap between policy and practice. While we have grown in scope and recognition, an independent perspective on our effectiveness has yet to be undertaken.
Humentum has been commissioned to conduct a light external review of HERE’s work, focusing on our strategic direction, research impact, audience engagement, and convening role. This assessment will explore key questions such as:
- Has HERE’s strategic focus effectively advanced its mission?
- What impact has our research had, particularly in influencing humanitarian policy and practice?
- How well are we engaging the right audiences, and what opportunities exist for deeper engagement?
- What should we do more of, less of, or differently in the coming years?
This review will not attempt a full-scale impact assessment but will provide insights into HERE’s achievements since 2022 and identify priorities for the next strategy cycle (2026–2029). The findings will shape how HERE continues to serve as a trusted voice in humanitarian analysis and policy reflection.
